"The Autumn/Winter 2011 Season is the first time Heritage Research has opened the line to be carried in a few select shops across the pond here in North America. For our first order, I had to include one of their staple garments; the New Longline Parka."

Heritage Research is the definition of Handmade in England. The small label got it's humble beginnings back in 2006, when business partners Russ and Dan decided to create something special, essentially letting the garments speak for themselves through the details, attention to craftsmanship, quality and integrity. Back then, they were only making a handful of pieces for a few select stores in Japan. Today, they continue to offer cohesive collections based on some or their personal inspiration. The components featured in the line are second to none and it has helped to set them apart from the pack. A handful of stores in North America stock the line– we're proud to be one of them.

My search for the perfect waxed parka for Autumn/Winter was annihilated after spending some time with this New Longline Parka in New York back in January. It's absolutely beautiful and is made of the finest British Millerain Waxed Cotton; the details and ingredients are second to none. Personally, I had a hard time deciding between which of these tonal parkas to keep for myself...

Fit
• The Longline Parkas fit is a regular cut. There is ample room for you to layer underneath, especially in the colder seasons, and still have it fit proper with just a shirt underneath.
